The glimpse of dynastic politics is clearly visible in today’s oath-taking ceremony of the Bihar कैबिनेट : Rakesh Kumar thakur

Samastipur, Bihar (Jankranti Hindi News Bulletin Office News Desk, May 07, 2026): Samastipur district RJD spokesperson Rakesh Kumar Thakur, through a press release, stated that the oath-taking ceremony of the Bihar Cabinet held today clearly reflected dynastic politics. Nearly one dozen ministers in the cabinet belong to political families.
According to him, the most prominent examples of dynastic politics in the cabinet are the induction of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha’s son Deepak Prakash as ministers without being members of any legislative house.
He further said that the cabinet includes several leaders from political families, including:
Samrat Choudhary, son of former minister Shakuni Choudhary, serving as Chief Minister;
Vijay Choudhary, son of late former MLA Jagdish Choudhary, serving as Deputy Chief Minister;
Santosh Suman, son of former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, as minister;
Ashok Choudhary, son of former minister Mahavir Choudhary, as minister;
Rama Nishad, wife of former MP Ajay Nishad, as minister;
Sheila Mandal, daughter-in-law of former Governor Dhaniklal Mandal, as minister;
Nitish Mishra, son of former Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra, as minister;
Shreyasi Singh, daughter of former Union Minister Digvijay Singh, as minister;
Sanjay Tiger, brother of former MLA Dharampal Singh, as minister.
Rakesh Kumar Thakur alleged that the new Bihar Cabinet has become a perfect example of dynastic politics. He also termed the silence of BJP and JD(U) spokespersons on this issue as extremely surprising and disappointing, adding that history will never forgive them.
